Actor

  • I've been earning my living as a professional actor since 1978 with starring roles on television, stage and radio, supporting roles in movies, one of the top voice artists in London and I've been playing David Archer in BBC4's The Archers since 1982.

  • In the last twelve months I have played Frank in Educating Rita at the Watermill Theatre, Newbury,

  • toured my one man show, Love Your Chocolates!

  • and played the title role in a fabulous film for the National Film and Television School, The Pride of Wade Ellison, a half hour, big budget western in which basically I get to play Clint. Pure joy!

  •

  • This year I landed two lovely parts - David Jason's boss, Sir Edward Hastings, in the new comedy series The Royal Bodyguard - 1st episode due to air on Christmas Day...

  • ... and as Richard Parker, Under-Secretary of State, in the brilliant comedy series Twenty Twelve with Hugh Bonneville.
