A Summer Serenade

A Summer Serenade

Make your way to a sumptuous marquee in the gardens of The Old Rectory, Stanhoe at 2.30 on the 9th June for an afternoon celebrating the joys of summer and the delights of the quintessential English Village.

David Archer (Tim Bentinck) and Lynda Snell (Carole Boyd) will be descending from one such fictional idyll - the Ambridge of Archers folklore - to the real thing .... STANHOE.

They will entertain with stories, readings and songs - composed by Tim Bentinck and accompanied by himself on the banjo! - and will be joined by the wonderful John Ruskin Primary School Choir from Camberwell in South-East London, who make a welcome return (by popular request) to North Norfolk.

Their repertoire is fun, thought-provoking and energetic, and they come hot-foot from a stunning performance in Covent Garden's Actor's Church, where they wowed their audience with their panache and commitment.

So come and join the fun! And bear in mind that there will be opportunities a-plenty to win prizes, grab yourself an original, signed Archers script, salivate over top London milliner Judy Bentinck's designer hats, take tea and generally enjoy an afternoon's all-round entertainment.
